When we were looking for a home, we knew BridgeTower was where we wanted to live. Of all the models, Bill Davis Construction had the best model for our family’s needs. During the construction process, Bill was available to answer any questions we had. He brought a wealth of experience and had suggestions for us when we wanted this or that “tweaked”. Bill Davis Construction had highly professional subcontractors. We lived in the area and frequently went by the house during construction. Bill, Brayden and all of the subcontractors always hard working and friendly.

We had Bill Davis Construction build a home for us in 1997 which we were very, very pleased with. When we decided to build another new home in 2004 we didn’t even consider another builder. Bill Davis was extremely easy to work with. One thing that we found interesting was that in most cases we had the same plumbers, electricians, painters and other subcontractors on both homes. They all did quality work. When a home inspection was done on our first home when we sold it, the inspector could not find a single construction problem with the house. If we were to ever build another home we would once again have Bill Davis Construction build it for us.

Are we green or are we just using green products? At what point do we become a “Green Builder”? Either way it is a step in the right direction.  It is good business practice, having less waste, more energy efficient homes and using environmentally responsible products that don’t damage the environment.  Bill Davis Construction joined the Energy Star program last year as a 100% Energy Star Builder because we do believe in the program and the energy saving facts speak for themselves. Moving forward with the “Parker” in Bridgetower, Bill Davis Construction is using green products in anticipation of meeting the NAHB Green certification process. 

 Is Energy Star a “Green Building Program”?

Shades of Green, Energy Star is a great program, that we signed up for last year as a 100% Energy Star builder because we do believe in the program and the facts speak for themselves on energy savings. 

Here is a quote from energystar.gov

“These homes are at least 15% more energy efficient than homes built to the 2004 International Residential Code (IRC), and include additional energy-saving features that typically make them 20–30% more efficient than standard homes.”
